Therefore we don’t routinely charge for missed appointments (because we know you respect our time and don’t miss appointments carelessly), we will try always to accommodate your little problems and get them sorted while you’re here (because you let us know beforehand so we can allocate extra time for you) and we only ask that you follow our simple and transparent pricing system by paying for treatment as set out on your treatment plans. We don’t ask for deposits, nor do we change our fees simply because we have spent more time with you, and we offer complementary consultations if you need to meet us first before committing to a New Patient Consultation. Appointment Rescheduling Policy
We do not routinely charge for missed appointments because our patients are extremely considerate and rarely fail to attend or cancel with less than 24 hours notice. We thank you for doing all you can to ensure you attend your scheduled appointments.
On the rare occasion that we may need to reschedule your appointment at short notice, we will always do our utmost to offer an appointment with an alternative member of the VIDA time at or close to your original appointment time to minimise the inconvenience, or, reschedule the original appointment efficiently and with consideration to your circumstances. However we are not liable for any consequential losses.
We endeavour always to see you at the time of your appointment. Due to the nature of our work, and our duty of care to our patients whilst they are receiving treatment, we ask for your understanding if there is a delay to your appointment. We always work hard as a team to communicate any delays to you and we are very appreciative that your time is precious too. Therefore we do ask that if you have any additional problems requiring extra attention you give us in advance so that we can allocate more time if possible. This allows us to serve you and our other patients to the very best of our abilities.
We will ask for you to pay at each of your appointments or to settle by phone before 5.30 pm the same business day.
Please note that when we commit to providing root canal treatment or any dentistry incorporating laboratory services (such as crowns, veneers, orthodontic retainers, whitening kits etc) we charge the fee at the first appointment. This may be because there are bespoke commissions required, or because we are making a commitment to you to wherever possible completing your treatment without any change to the estimated price. You will never be charged extra fees simply because we wish to spend more time on your tooth or if we think we need to review your tooth before completing an item of treatment.
This represents our commitment to providing you with highest standard of treatment whilst also ensuring we enjoy a relationship of trust with you. On the very rare occasion that a situation changes significantly, we would discuss that with you and endeavour not to incur any additional cost to you. That is our promise.
We accept payment in cash, credit/debit card or cheque.
We do appreciate that tooth problems arise at inconvenient times and if ever you wish to take out finance to ensure you receive treatment at the time you need it, please do ask for details of our Finance options.
We have an anonymous comments box at Reception and welcome your thoughts about VIDA. Please do let us know if there is anything we could have done better. Equally, if we have made you happy, and you feel appreciated and well cared for, we would be delighted to hear so. Wherever there is any problem we ask that you contact our Practice Manager in the first instance.
